Speed and quality are the two most common factors that insurance claims professionals are continuously fighting between. It can feel like you are on a seesaw, when one goes up the other goes down. When you hit the right balance between the two you have nailed a smooth ride to success.

We have worked for years to attain that perfect balance and wanted to share some of our successful actions to getting there.

Here are a few things you can look at in your own work, with examples of how we have handled it in ours.

Time It Takes A Problem To Be Solved

Look for the time and date which an incident was reported and then look for the time when the problem was solved.

Have a look at the conversations which happened in between, does everyone appear to have the correct information and tools to sort the problem, or does there seem to be a weak link who doesn’t have what they need to get the issue fixed?

We found that when a field adjuster has a question there needs to be no delay. For years now every field adjuster on our team is backed up by a fully dedicated administrative and technical support team to smooth the way. This way there is no unnecessary time added and claims get completed rapidly.

Are Tasks Being Completed?

  • Are the number of tasks you think should be done in a day being completed?
  • Do you have a place to go where you can see if tasks are being completed?
  • If you do, are there any gaps where some tasks aren’t being reported?

If you feel like you are not really getting a full overview of everything being completed in your business it’s time to take action.

We know this is especially important when it comes to claims, where information can change hands multiple times. This is why our proprietary Claims Management System software was built by us from the ground up based on our decades of knowledge and experience. Supervisors and Adjusters use CMS to track everything easily and quickly. Nothing escapes the diary! And this ensures our reports are always delivered on time!

How to Improve Quality Standards?

One key to maintaining quality is to keep a constant eye on different sources of information which can tell you if standards are dropping. This way you can quickly work to propel the quality of work back up to where it should be.

A fantastic way to do this is to keep an eye on your reviews.

We recently checked on our Google reviews and were proud to find that we have more and better reviews from real Examiners than anyone!
